Tasklet
An agent you describe a recurring business job to in plain English; it connects to your tools and runs the work on triggers/schedules (by the Shortwave team).
Why it's here: Closest 'describe the job, the agent does it on a schedule' UX to Kite, with a credit model plus an unusual daily-bonus mechanic.
How they turn free users into paying ones
Tasklet keeps the entry free and card-less, gives about 1,100 starter credits, then pays more credits for each activation milestone: connect an app, automate a task, build a dashboard, text, email or share the agent. Free credits are spent on exactly the actions that make an agent sticky. The agent gets its own email, phone and Slack identity, so it becomes part of the daily workflow. The first message pushes a Gmail connection to 'solve a real problem'. Monetization is then economic rather than pushy: an Upgrade button in the header, subscriptions 20% cheaper per credit than top-ups, no per-seat fees, and 600 bonus credits on each day a paid user logs in.

Monetization mechanics
| Trial / free offer | Free plan with about 1,100 starter credits (balance 1,089 after the 8-credit welcome turn); no time limit. Setup milestones pay up to +3,750 more credits. |
|---|---|
| Card required | No (per pricing page: 'No payment required') |
| What free actually allows | About 1,100 starter credits on Free (observed: 'Organization balance: 1,089 credits' after 8 used) plus milestone rewards: Connect an app +250, Automate a task +500, Create a dashboard +500, Text your agent +1,000, Email your agent +500, Share an agent +1,000. Per-thread daily limit 10,000 credits. The model is selectable (default '6.1 Sol Medium'). |
| How usage is shown | 'Usage & credits' icon in the header opens a panel: credits used (7/30-day chart), organization balance, and a per-thread daily limit ('This thread pauses when it reaches the limit'). [DOCS] Settings → Agent → Usage & Limits adds a sustainable-per-day line. |
| Discounts & annual nudges | No annual discount or promos. Instead: subscriptions are 20% cheaper per credit than one-time top-ups, and paid plans earn 600 bonus credits on every day you log in. |
| Sales assist | 'Book a demo' beside the main CTA on the landing page; custom/enterprise via sales@tasklet.ai; video support on the $250 Custom plan. |
| Time to value | ~6 minutes: Google sign-in, 6 intro slides and 4 short questions, then the agent's first turn. The research + LinkedIn draft for Kite came back in about 1.5 minutes. |
| Aha moment | An 'AI teammate' with its own @tasklet.bot email address, phone and Slack presence. The first task returned a sourced Kite vs Okara / Runlo / Jasper comparison and a LinkedIn draft, with 'I won't publish, send, or email anything'. |
| Account used | Google sign-in with a real company Google Workspace account Nikhil signed into the Composio cloud browser (identity scopes only; name and email masked on screenshots). Earlier throwaway-email attempt kept as context. |

What Kite could take from it
- Tie bonus credits to activation steps (connect a channel, schedule a recurring task, invite a teammate) instead of flat grants; this fits Kite's AM-106 ladder ($20 → phone +$30 → card +$50) and could extend it to product actions.
- Give the agent its own reachable identity (an email address, a phone, Slack) during onboarding so users start delegating from where they already work.
- A per-thread daily credit cap and a usage panel one click from the header let users trust an always-on agent with money.
- No per-seat pricing with one shared credit pool pulls whole teams in under a single subscription.
Caveats: The in-app run ended when the cloud browser session expired, right after the first task; the exact credit cost of that task was not captured. Email lifecycle was not observed for this account.
